Breadth Critique

I feel like i understand the principles of design very well and have a wide range of work. In unity/variety i would give myself a 5 because i have a broad range of design that is sucessful. Overall the qualitly of the work is fairly strong. For balance/emphasis/contrast i would give myself a six, i think this is my strongest point. My work is very confidentand in this portion and it is technically accomplished. Rythem is also something i am confident in. I would give myself a 5 because the work addresses sophisticated and complex ideas with some success. I also would probably deserve a 5 in repitition because the work shows clear decision making and risk taking. I feel that most of my work has good proportion and scale so i would give myself a 5 because the overall quality of the work is strong.

Richard Avedon was a famous photographer who began his career in the early 1940's. He was extremely sucsessful especially in fashion and photographed many famous icons of the time. Also, some of his work related to modern day issues such as politics. This photographer caught my interest because of the way he took every day american life and expressed it though photographs in very creative ways. I like how he has such a variety of styles in his work. There arent many poeple in todays society who are quite like Richard Avedon, he made his voice known through his creative pictures and I think more people should find ways to express themselfs. So if i took a roll inspired by this artist i would expressed my views on todays issues and try to make them known.
